My Canik Mete mc9 did the same thing first time using it, failed to feed twice using 115 gr Blazer but I didn’t lubricate it the first time shooting it, I took it home and lubricated it and it has ran perfectly ever since
@dabagz1 Жыл бұрын
Yea man, it is a nice piece. However , I had to polish my feed ramp after numerous feeding issues. Get some fine sandpaper and give that ramp some extra love. Canik made a great gun in terms of accuracy, ergo, and performance, but my feed ramp definitely required polishing. Some people get a replacement feed spring , but I found that it really is the ramp that is the root cause. The spring is fine Cheers,

I’m hoping I don’t have to go to that, so far just that one hollow point didn’t go.

My Mc9 was having issues with the rounds getting jammed up on the feed ramp and locking up. Fmjs and hollows both. I emailed century Arms and they sent me a new recoil spring. Shot it today with 115 g fmjs and 124g hollows and it had no issues at all. Very pleased

How long did it take to receive the new recoil spring?
@PAC_84 Жыл бұрын
@@baddboi8 I emailed them about it last Thursday. They said they would send me one. Took them until Monday to ship it and then I got it yesterday on Wednesday. So once it was shipped it took 2 days. Not bad at all. Pretty quick actually. And boy does it make a difference. I was all pissed that I got a bad one but now relieved. It didn't jam on anything today,fmj 115g or hollows 124 g. Just kept eating it.

Follow up to our conversation of mine hitting the feed ramp. After the first 150 rounds it started to run smooth..took it to the range again today ran another 100 rounds through it and no issues. I think she is broken in

Good job bro..I thought the mc9 was awesome was just an issue with my hand size slide never locked back for me and the mags didn’t drop freely..overall the mc9 is a dope shooter I wouldn’t carry every day. I went with the slightly larger Mete SF and couldn’t be happier!!!

I was actually looking at those! Also the Taurus GX4 TORO! Both seem like great guns, I honestly had no intentions on buying this, seemed too good to be true and unobtainable for a while as most new Caniks are. My LGS just so happened to get two in last week. I went there several days later expecting both to be gone, but there it was lol.
@fpav4049 Жыл бұрын
Mine does the same thing. Hollow point ammo gets jammed into the bottom of the ramp, pushing the bullet into the casing. I have 360 rounds thru mine and 12 FTF and a few double feeds. I still have jams after polishing the ramp.
@coffee_5.56x458 ай бұрын
Did you ever send yours back and have them fix it? On the Facebook groups people are having better luck with them these days, I think they did a silent barrel change and the new production ones have the newer feed ramps. I know the threaded barrels they sell looked a lot different on the feed ramp than the original ones.
@fpav40498 ай бұрын
@@coffee_5.56x45 I bought a Threaded barrel and the ramps are cut different and feeds everything. I sent my original barrel back but they are waiting for a shipment. It's been about 7 weeks and counting.

@@fpav4049 dang that’s crazy it’s taking so long. I thought about going with the treaded barrel just to be on the safe side. It’s been running great with so far for me but I’ve mainly just shot 115gr through it since the original video.

For me it was first switching to a Glock 19 from a 1911 at the age of 19. I was impressed by the reliability (not that impressive compared to a cheap 1911) and that’s the age I really got into training. So becoming super proficient on the Glock and carrying it everyday for 9 years I just kept buying other Glocks for different purposes. I’ve always been impressed with caniks for the price but was always skeptical of their reliability to want to buy one over a Glock I know will run no matter what.

I’ve heard people talk about them being “over sprung” in some reviews, I’ve heard them say that about the recoil spring and extractor spring. Idk about the hollow points issue. To me it seems like the top round typically sits at a pretty steep angle, if it moves forward in the mag a little the angle is different so that’s probably what happened to mine.

Oddly enough I don’t remember, I have like 3 of them, I used one for a while as a small Trauma pouch I’d keep in my truck, I use them for USPSA so I’m not carry anything bulky. They probably came on something I bought. If you search for small molle pouch on Amazon you’ll probably find something similar. G-Code also makes some small ammo containers like it.
