Great video! You walk past our house around the 10 minute mark... you fade out just before it, then back in just after..... I'm wondering if I wandered into shot and got cut from the final edit! 🤔 Canillas is a lovely village, quiet and with beautiful scenery. You might be pleased to know that residents of the local area recently raised over 3000€ to rehome the solitary ostrich to a sanctuary. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your comments. We had a great 6 week holiday, during the summer, in Spain including 3 weeks in Competa - although we did find the drive up quite an experience..! There appeared to be many English ex-pats there and many in their 70s/80s ... the steep terrain didn't put them off the location..!

@@thomasjones1 the drive from the coast is quite a challenge, I think there are about 120 turns once you hit the climb towards Cómpeta and Canillas. There are a few ex-pats in both villages, yet there’s very little in the way of a “Brits abroad” culture and those that have houses here tend to integrate well with the locals. I’m in my early 50s and I love it here.
