Remove the reinforcing sleeve from the mortar tube first, then cut the base. Makes for a MUCH smaller and lighter rack!

Hello. How do you get the sleeve off? I’ve wondered about that, but always thought why not keep the tubes as safe as possible, however I can see removing them for a tighter fit. Please let me know!

@@FastFixKZbin Pull the sleeve off if it's loose enough. Or grab the sleeve, invert the tube and slam the opening down on a hard surface. Then cut the base. There are many ways to do it. A table saw, a jig saw, a band saw , whatever. Some people thought I wasn't too safe doing this but it works if you are careful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmqvkICKZ82KpLc
