Hello guys! A few years ago, I was in a bad car wreck, got disabled and suffered from horrible depression. Then I watched Jim’s Freedumb special on Netflix and been following him ever since! Watching your comedy specials and show has really helped me get through massive depression. So, thank you Jim for helping me in my life. My wife, Holly, and I watch your podcast on KZbin every week. I don't care what people say when they go "Oh but he keeps the momentum of the podcast going and keeps Jim and the others on track" ...just, no. He's ruined some of Jim's great anecdotes (which I don't know the funny endings of, or even *middles* of the story) and also Jim's funny observations that he was going to comedically expand on.....

This is a great episode of a great show. The experts were right on. I especially appreciated their accurate presentation of almost all herb as hybrids (indica and sativa) in the modern market. But really, this podcast as whole is great and worth subscribing (I prefer the youtubes). Jim is hilarious, and the whole group is fantastic. The actual friendship and love between all of them is really palpable and it makes each podcast reliably relatable and lovable. Plus they all know how to make fun of themselves and each other. It's the type of shit talking friends do best, and Jim is a master in this context. This is just good people having good times and two of them are really funny professional comedians. What's not to love? My only complaint is that they should all clearly be doing more to help Jack get laid, but frankly, with the sweet gig he has, Family Coke Money, and with no obvious physical deformities, I'm a little scared at what's going on with him that's keeping him from getting laid on his own at this point. Grateful Dead and fun times with fun ladies go together like rice and beans. I think maybe the man is just shy. Last but not least, I think Forrest is the rock for the show and a great balance to the energy while still being hilarious. But despite Forrest's greatness, it remains a bit disconcerting the way his vibe so casually and completely fluctuates between big lovable teddy bear manatee scientist, and, guy whose vibe screams "Yes I have a knife on me that I have used on a person before."

Jim, Jack, Kelly, Forrest, sorry if this brings the tone down: but your podcast has got me through my depression. All the podcasts, not just Water Quality with Erin Brockovich or Cheese with Liz Thorpe, but all of them. Thank you for uploading podcasts regularly! The podcast on Depression was something I could particularly relate to. Some days I feel great with parties awaiting me at night, but depression hits first and I just can't go. I think you and the awesome crew have given me the strength to go, Jim. I hope that's the case. I haven't met any of you, but I respect all of you - Jim with your depression, Kelly with yours, Forrest with grieving over the loss of your mother, and Jack, if you're going through finding yourself and it's difficult. I'm personally feeling a decent 6 out of 10, and after listening to you podcasts daily, and realise we are all the same, and I feel a better 8 or 9 out of 10. I wish you all the best and look forward to your next podcast :) The Grateful Dead was another great one :)

Wow, I'm surprised they can't test drivers for weed in the States of all places. In Bulgaria, and I assume other countries too, they have breathalysers for that too. I've been told by different people it will test positive for someone who hasn't smoked in a week or more, I've heard a month. Luckily I don't drive or need to.

the answer to how 420 came to represent Marijuana is incorrect, 420 used to be the penial code for Marijuana possession, that term was being used as a way to identify Marijuana back in the 70s, way before those 90s high school kids try to figure out a way that they could take credit for it. I would have thought someone that worked for HIGHTIMES would know that, I will have to look back through some old mags, but I'm pretty sure even HIGHTIMES has references to 420 well before these high schools kids started taking credit.

@@jeremiahmc I understand your point, but, it's a fine line. Legislative measures for the young doesn't work. We know that with alcohol. If there's legal acceptance of cannabis, will that remove all social/psychological barriers that are currently in place, leading to increased use and the resulting negative impact? And it definitely initiates mental illness in some (especially youth). I've witnessed this on more than one occasion; as have many. There is also the antisocial aspect of smoking cannabis. Let's be honest, it stinks! The increased strength of cannabis strains is definitely a big problem.

@@gart9680 I lived in Amsterdam... legal for decades and most Dutch don't use it, mostly weekend tourists from other European countries. Cause it's legal it's not appealing for kids who want to be rebellious/edgy. Also being legal the quality is easily controlled by the authorities, and you have to be 18+ to buy.

But, Amsterdam is like any city, the place attracts some very undesirable eliminates, so using that as an example isn't the best. Amsterdam is definitely not a shining light for the legalisation off weed & authorities in the Dam are tightening up on the legislation of weed. Especially for coffee shops.

Before the skunk boom of circa 20 years ago, resin was more prominent in much of Europe. Red/gold seal and others, which was less potent, more mellow and smelled nicer. I am certain, just from bearing witness, *that weed does initiate severe mental illness in some.*
