For a micro business do you have to grow your own product or is it the amount of employees that makes it a micro business

Good question! It's always best to check with your state's authorities on the matter, but typically microbusinesses don't need to be vertically integrated (though they can be). Instead, a microbusiness is defined by your operating space and inventory/production volume.

It really depends on your state. New Mexico, for instance, is planning on releasing microbusiness licenses but hasn't yet done so, while other states have it fully implemented. It seems like more and more states will adopt programs similar to Michigan's since it's been relatively successful.
