I think I'm just not intellectual enough to appreciate this movie. Enjoyed the first hour or so well enough, but it lost me. The scene with the ape man was the turning point for me. I personally think it did suffer from the long length, I was waiting for it to end. But to each their own.

John c I interviewed people about this movie afterwards, some of their answers were pretty intellectual in my eyes. You know what I mean anyway.

@@johnc9483 no it's not, it's a look into a scary double standard western people hold. The Square is the name of the art piece, but also the movie, the movie is like the art piece, they are both inside squares. The ape scene is a great example, of how little people (especialy upperclass art enthusiasts) would do in a critical situation, that goes way over the line of art. It's easier to critique and shed light on alarming topics, than to actually act on it, and that's, i think at least, is one of the points of the scene.
