At least there were some submissions that weren't heal-hooks. I went to the most recent Poloaris (5, I think) and it was, apart from one or two matches, just a heel-hooking show.

I noticed some grapplers wear mouth piece and some dont like neither Gordan or Craig wore any mouth piece...I got a tournament coming up and I guess i wont wear it neither then? esp if makes it abit harder to breath too lol

I don't find it any more difficult to breathe. I guillotined a guy at tourney once and he ran to the bathroom after tapping. He showed me the inside of his mouth after, his teeth ripped his cheek apart. I've rolled with guys the really smash your face, even when drilling like armbars, smash my mouth with his giant hamstring and my teeth cut my lips. Starting wearing a mouth guard to protect my lips and cheeks more than my teeth.

Woooo, this is unbelieveable, take away the points and nobody is going for a takedown anymore! They don't even guard junp or pull, just sit guard and a bunch of scissorring. I guess it makes sense given that it's to much energywaste for no reward, and if You want to be on top the other guy will give it to You. To bad really, I know there are great takedown artist in BJJ, woulda loved to see some crazy transitions that way. Man I like leglocks, but this is getting borring. BJJ practitioner here!

With no strikes, there is not an advantage with being on top. Leg locks are a great submission but can be very dangerous in MMA if you get stuck beneath someone punching you in the head.

So true sir. I tried using my technical online Gracie blue belt the other week when challenging an Aikido master on the streets. I pulled guard on him, and then he proceeded to rip off my balls and tear my eyes out. I don't even know how I managed to type this. Bjj sucks!
