Canning Day & Testing our Water | SimPure Reverse Osmosis vs Berkey

SimPure recently gifted me their tankless reverse osmosis water filtration system. I was hesitant at first because we had a Berkey I bought last year. After seeing several articles on the Berkey I thought I would give theirs a try and I was shocked at how much better the reverse osmosis system did!

I wanted to thank you for telling us about the SimPure reverse osmosis water system! My husband and I bought it and had to pay someone to install it, but it’s great! We just have the spigot but I’m satisfied with that. I tested the TDS on our tap water and it was 496. The SimPure water tested at 4 TDS. I got mineral drops to add back into the water because the ro system removes most everything. I no longer have to buy bottled water at the store.

Interesting about the water filtration systems. We've heard for years that the Berkey was the top of line, highly recommended. I'm surprised to hear your research and glad you shared it. I always like honest reviews from someone you know vs the paid ads. You're such a natural in the kitchen, I love watching. Hopefully you'll be back to the renovations come fall and the cooler weather.

I honestly couldn’t believe the results. I got the Berkey based on other reviews I’d seen and shortly after started seeing articles about how they don’t do what they say they can. I sure hope so! I cannot wait to get started on them.

I found my first flower on the tomato plants today. Guess it's the simple things in life that make me happy. I also found quite a few volunteer tomatoes that came up fro m last years crop. I've done all kinds of canned tomatoes but have never made tomato sauce. Maybe I should try that this year. How is your garden coming along?

Yes it is! I have been watching ours but so far nothing. You definitely should. Tomato sauce is something I like to always have in the pantry. Our garden is doing so good! At the moment it’s being taken over by weeds. It’s been raining constantly. As soon as it dries I have my work cut out for me. I hope you have a bountiful garden this year!!

I just ordered the Simpure water filter. We have an Alexapure water filter and just like your Berkey I dont feel it it filtering all that well. You just never know what’s in the tap water. I’m excited to finally get good water.

It was just an overall parts per million test. The second test showed individual.

So, were your Berkey filters a year old when you did the comparison? Sounds like with all you used it for the filters were overdue for a change

The Berkey is a year old but the new filters were put in about 6 weeks before this video was filmed.
