Love this collaboration. If you add a grape leaf or a blackberry leaf to the bottom of your jar the tannins are supposed to help with pickle crispness. Have a Blessed day 😊

Hi Anna. No I have never made pickles with Ms Wages. I’ve always just done my pickles the old fashion way. I’ve seen a lot of great videos including yours so I am definitely going to try pickles using Ms Wages. Thank you so much for participating in the collaboration!!

I love pickles. Dill and bread and butter are our favorites. Neither my hubby or I can tolerate heat. You can also add a grape leaf in the bottom of your jar to help keep your pickles crisper. My Amish friends gave me this hint.

I use pickling lime. Soak overnight, rinse. Ferment in a claussen copycat recipe for about a week then steam can. Perfect crisp pickles on the shelf all year.

This weekend i`ll be busy making a lot of different Mrs wages pkgs. Spgh sauce, Pizza sauce, chili base, ketchup, and this fall i`ll be making apple pie filling. This is the best product for newbies to start with. Love this product so much.

I went to see what variety of Mrs Wages mixes were available at my Walmart only to turn into the canning aisle as a gentleman ahead of me was cleaning out the remaining mixes. He must have been watching this collaboration 😂 Love your channel. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us.

I use the bread and butter seasoning to make sweet relish in smaller jars. Then I add crushed red pepper in the brine to put my hard boiled eggs in…sweet and spicy!

The ice bath really helps the pickles stay firm. I also add the pickle chrisp.

I haven’t made a Mrs. Wages pickle seasoning packet yet but have made dill pickles before. Mine usually turn out really soft. Thank you for demonstrating the use of pickle crisp. The results are interesting. It doesn’t look like it really helps.

I’m glad you did this video today. I was prepping to make the hot and spicy pickles right now. For me!!! No one else likes spicy but me and I’m not going not find spicy pickles in the store. Thank you for the side by side. I think cooling the brine first will help them stay crisper. That and pickle crisp. That’s what I’m going to do.

I made Mrs Ages Kosher dill pickles yesterday. I didn’t have enough weight but made them. I actually got a lot more jars than expected with lots of brine left over. I’m not a heat person.

I have learned that hot pickles taste so much better if you wait at least 2 weeks. I'm gonna try this one if I can find it.

We love hot pickles. I have tried one of the Mrs. Wages dill pickle packs. We thought the pickles were softer than we like. Great flavor, just soft.

I am going to have to try the hot and spicy pickles by Mrs. Wages. I canned the Polish pickles, but they did not last as long as I thought they would because our children took them home with them. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us.

Thank you for doing the test between the pickle crisp and not. I've always wondered if it really makes a difference. I'll have to give this mix a try, Hubby didn't care for the Polish dills Mrs. Wages but he does enjoy a spicy pickle.

I make the dill pickles and the bread and butter pickles all the time. For some reason I find that the bread and butter pickles are crunchier. I do use the pickle crisp with them.

I love spicy pickles of all variety- in fact it’s a thing at my job-lol! We bring in spicy pickles or other things that are really spicy and see how good they are and who can’t handle the heat! I will have to make some of these and try it out on our team. I am so excited! Thank you for sharing and also for sharing the ice soaking method. I never thought to do that- but it makes since.

We've made pickles before, but have had a similar experience in that they were not very crisp. I'm going to use Pickle Crisp the next time I make them. Thank you for posting another video for Mrs Wages week!

I did a batch of Dill Pickles with Mrs Wages. First time. I cut them in spears. The taste is great. A bit soft but I did expect that to be the case.

Your test for crispness was interesting. I used the pickle crisp and was a bit disappointed that they weren’t more crispy.

Those pickles look really good. Tbe first jar sounded crisper. I put a bayleaf in my pickle jars and that helps. Thanks for the video

I have canned dill, polish dill, kosher dill and I believe the polish is our favorite. We haven’t tried them yet because we have refrigerator pickles to eat first so not sure of the pickle crisp yet. Great video. I have enjoyed your input.

Thanks for your test of the pickle crisp! I have tried it and didn't think it made that much difference. I do like this mix though, I use it for pickled beans and okra also.

I'm as Linda says over at Lindas Pantry, a Wimpy Lipper. I couldn't do the Hot and Spicy but I have done the Bread and Butter Pickles and the Medium Salsa. They are really good. I'm sure all of them are fantastic.

I took your suggestion and checked out the channel sponsoring the collab. I watched a video 5 things she would not can again and one of those was pickles that were cucumbers not specifically pickle variety small ones. Next year I,m going to plant some of those. I only grew English cucumbers so I,m going to wait till next year to try. I did make relish.
