Most people I see play the crossword type tickets here in TN just scratch off the bottom and scan. I don't see where the fun is in that. I scratch off tickets for fun.

You don't have to go to a store to scan the tickets to check them. If you've ever noticed the black letters in the background near the bar code, those are called redemption codes. For instance here in VA if the letters are FTY it's a $50 winner. Here's a link to a list of FL redemption codes: scratchoffcodes.com/florida/ That site has lists of codes from different states.
