Canoa, Ecuador | Paragliding | Ozone Alpina 4

Not only the first paragliding flight on Ecuador's coast on our trip, but in fact our first coastal flight in all of south america after 5 months of travelling. We liked it a lot!
In maximum humidity and over 30 degrees centigrade, we hiked up Nido, the local launch site. The rainy and low-wind season has just passed, and we arrived at the first flyable day in the season and worked hard to summit the launch, as everything was overgrown and washed out after so much rain.
At the launch we were rewarded with excellent conditions and butter smooth soaring conditions, followed by landing at the beach next to our car. Can't get any better than this!

Haha, bin noch einen Monat oder so hier. Fliegen bis jetzt nur Niton, Ibarra, Crucita und Canoa. Noch Tipps im Süden?

@@HendrikParagliding ich bin das 1. Mal mit dem Schirm hier. Momentan sind wir noch in Quito. Der Plan war später durch die Anden nach Süden zu Touren und an der Küste wieder hoch. Da wird sich sicher der ein oder andere Spot finden. Vor 15 Jahren habe ich viele Schirme um rum Cuenca gesehen. Häppiehh Lähndings

Es geht wohl von Mai bis November ziemlich jeden Tag. Recht zuverlässig. Crucita scheint noch zuverlässiger und ist nicht weit weg.
