Canoeist spotted making the most of flooding in Lostock Hall

14-year-old scout and member of the Ribble Canoe Club William Wicks decided to make the most of the weekend's flooding and took his canoe to Croston Road near Lostock Hall, Preston, to take a closer look at a taxi which had been submerged and abandoned.
Heavy rain battered Lancashire at the weekend, leading to travel disruption across the county.

I think I remember that bridge, it's on the way to Tardy Gate. Very sad that the drainage there isn't great, 40 years ago with heavy rain that area drained well so what has happened in the interim ?
