The Sigma Art 50 1.4 is an awesome upgrade from the Nifty 50, and one of my favorite lenses. I have this 16 - 35 2.8, the Sigma 50 and the 70 - 200 2.8 to cover my needs

I used the 16-35 f/2.8 mk lll on the 5D4 for most of my shooting more than the 24-105 f/4 mk ll because it give me more composition flexibility and love the image quality. Pair with the 70-200 f/4 L ll and Lumix 100 for my holiday travelling its just perfect for me.

I don't have no full frame camera just yet but i love my Canon 80d and i just need a few lenses to put in my bag so i can start taking pictures of my nephews and nieces

If you stop it down from 2.8 the vignetting should decrease accordingly.

It depends on if you need the wider aperture. I often take photos of the night sky, where that f/2.8 is really helpful. It's hard to say one lens is objectively better than the other without knowing how it'll be used.

@@GrantTakesPictures , so did you end up buying one? My sister gave me one, and I have to say it’s not that great. Yeah, it’s f/2.8, but wide open the image quality is not very competitive-very soft away from center and low contrast. I wondered if mine was a bad one until I dug up a bunch of reviews on this old lens. Suffice to say, there are much better options available, and I’m looking to upgrade.
