Yes, you can by taking of the red eye reduction mode, it is one of the 3 or 4 setting in the flash mode in the menus. Thanks for the complement

the 50d is an awesome dslr. the only thing i dont like though, is that joystick thing. i know its no big deal, but i used to have a nokia 6600, and its joystick lost majority of its functions as time goes by of normal use. since then i had joystick fobia.

Nice video and of course great camera. Can you tell me if there is a way to keep the built-in flash from shooting with that strobe effect it tends to fire off? It happens in any mode i have the cam in and it really throw my subjects off making them over blink. Would appreciate any assistance.

From what I remember , you have to go to the custom menu settingt its , or some menu and set it for high ISO. Not a dumb question at all

Hi everyone, I am probably about to sound very very stupid asking this question but as I really can't find it anywhere I'll guess I'll have to, could anyone explain to me how on earth you get into the 50D's high iso settings i.e. 6400 and 12800? thanks in advanced

Try turning the dial on top of the camera, the one with p and Av and Tv on it, You may just be on one of the auto modes that won't allow those changes. -let me know if this works Please subscribe to our channel if you can.
