This video showcases the process of disassembling a Canon 6D camera
to enable a full spectrum modification. This modification enhances the
camera's capabilities for astrophotography, infrared photography,
and ultraviolet photography. The video serves as a comprehensive tutorial,
demonstrating the step-by-step removal of the camera's components
and filters. The stock filters are being replaced by high quality clear glass with BBAR coatings.
By undergoing this modification, the camera gains the ability
to capture a broader range of light, including wavelengths that are normally
invisible to the human eye. Please be aware that it is necessary to
calibrate the sensor position after the modification has been completed.
Otherwise the sensor may become tilted and not parallel to the lens mounting flange.

How do u calibrate the sensor to remove any deltas, and at what point u have to do all the checks?

The sensor position is measured before the removal. The calibration is done after the sensor is put back to its place to make sure it's perfectly parallel to the lens mounting flange and to ensure the built-in autofocus works properly. This means the viewfinder AF system must be in sync with the on-sensor AF system. Calibration is done by using proprietary equipment and unfortunately this information cannot be disclosed.

I have just completed the IR conversion on my EOS 6D. I replaced the hot mirror with a quartz plate which I measured its shift before installation. I then calibrate the flange distance with a height guage on a calibrated flat surface. Because I did it in a laminar flowhood, the CMOS is dustless and I feel very satisfy. Besides, I removed the dust reduction piezoelectric element and glued on the quartz plate and the camera in order to keep its dust reduction function.
