The video from the 7D Mark II looks waaaay better. I own a 6D and while it's great for photos, the moire issues are absolutely killing me when shooting video. I have to dial down the sharpness to the minimum and still can't shoot any textures or grass without a superhuge aperture in order to blow everything out except the main subject. No fun at all. I'd go for the 7DMk2 at the drop of a hat.

What I noticed you saying the 7D2 is out of focus, or the 6D image is sharper. It also looks like the background behind the animal is sharper on the 7D2 video, meaning the focal point of the lens is not calibrated to the camera.

Thing is, 7d is a crop, so it will produce less bokeh at the same frame size because you have to use wider lens or move back to compensate the crop factor.

How many time can i shoot a video for 6d???
@matthewgillespie5147 жыл бұрын
Not sure if this is true, but I read that Canon put a strong anti-aliasing and Moire filter on the 7Dii to get rid of this issue-- hence, the softer image. I also read a review from a DP blog that the editor was able to crank up the sharpness later in post to 150 before aliasing started creeping in. Seems like some sacrifice on one end or the other...

I plan on doing glamour/portraits, landscape and architecture type photography. I also like shooting in low light sometimes. Which would be better for me, canon 6d or 7d mark ii?
@YevZakharov7 жыл бұрын
Sean Carter I would recommend the 6D because of its full frame sensor. Typically nature and architecture doesn't require extremely fast AF so the 6D will always be able to keep up. Also, just incase you weren't aware, the 6D mark II is coming out soon.

Thanks you my friend, I have both models , video and helps a lot. Any recommended cage rig ?

I'm glad the video helped! You know, if you don't want to spend too much money on cage rig, I would check out Neewer. They are sold on Amazon.

8:02 when you see the box. its sharper on 6d is it because the iso or the focus ? because I have this problem a lot when I shoot sport so I want to know if its form my lens or the camera sorry for my bad English.
@YevZakharov7 жыл бұрын
No, the sharpness you see on the 6D is simply how the camera performs. The 7Dii is just not as sharp. The same lens was used and the same focal settings were applied. I continue to use both cameras and unfortunately, the 7Dii is just not quite as sharp with its video performance.

When the 7d is in autofocus makes a partial focus is not precise, I have both cameras and I can tell you that the 7d is not well focused, to have pressure must be used manual
@Ivanframes7 жыл бұрын
That is not true you do not know how to use the settings of the 7d, see some tutorials before using it since it is more complicated than the 6d, and many people have had problems with the focus, is very obvious that this image does not Is well focused

so, i am a sport photographer i usually shot with 1000/1 with 2.8 and 3200 iso i found my photo isn't sharp and when i saw your video i can't decide which to chose 7d with less sharpness or 6d sharper but 1.0 sensor ?if i cropped a photo from the 6d to make it as smellier size as the 1.6 7d would it be as sharp ? again, sorry for my bad English
@YevZakharov7 жыл бұрын
iD7z no, cropping the 6D down to 1.6 equivalent won't be as sharp because both cameras are 20.2 megapixels. When shooting photos with the same lens, both should technically be as sharp. However, in this video I was shooting only video 1080p. So it's not a good reference for photo shooting. Also, if you're shooting sports photography, you may want to take advantage of the 7Dii 65 cross-type focus points and high photo shooting rate. 6D only has 11 focus points. Probably not good for fast moving objects.

which aps-c canon camera is better for photography 77d, 80d or 7d mark ii ?
@YevZakharov7 жыл бұрын
Well there are a lot of variables. The 7Dii is the most expensive of them all. But it has the most focus points, all cross-type. It also has two memory card options, SD and CF. The 77D has touchscreen and pivoting display, which some people really like. The 80D is more affordable and also incorporates the touch screen. 7Dii would probably offer the highest quality overall... After all, it's the single digit canon series.
@edhtea14377 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I lean for 7Dii too. For the moment, is the best APS-C camera for canon. Full-frame camera are most expensive. Maybe, do you recommend another camera model for photography?
@Ivanframes7 жыл бұрын
This test is obviously biased towards the 6d, the 7d is not in focus because they used the auto focus and only highlights the ISO which is the only advantage over the 7d, we do not talk about processor, focus points, speed of shots , HDMI outputs, memory slots, best audio ..
@YevZakharov7 жыл бұрын
Ivan Espinosa well that's why I titled the video as "ISO Test". Also, to clarify, I used manual focus for both cameras to keep things more consistent. When I shoot video, I actually lean towards the 7Dii if its cars and stuff that moves. The autofocus is amazing. But I know for a fact that the 6D is slightly sharper. Why, I have no clue.
@davidecaravano26487 жыл бұрын
Yev Zakharov 6D is sharper because 7DmkII is a crop sensor body. You crop an image, in this case a lens, and you loose image quality.
@YevZakharov7 жыл бұрын
Hmm... I would agree. However, this would mean that all the crop sensors and micro-thirds format cameras should have bad sharpness, like the GH4 and GH4 and many more Panasonic cameras. But they have great sharpness, even 4K resolution! I think that Canon simply has to make a difference between each model of camera. If the 7DII had same sharpness or better, then why sell the 6D for more? It's all marketing and business. Now they have released the 6D mark II, and guess what? It doesn't even have 4K or dual card slots, because if it did, no one would pay $3k for the 5D mark IV.
@Ivanframes7 жыл бұрын
The focus setting of the 7d mark ii is more complicated than the 6d, you can not make a comparison if you are using it bad, as I told you I have both cameras and I know that I am talking
@Ivanframes7 жыл бұрын
See tutorials on the focus of the 7d and you will notice what I am talking about, do the test again

Different sensors you really can’t compare the too.
