Thank you very much, my prime job is in the Human Right field for Human Rights organization based in the UK working to rehabilitate people who suffered from Torture. And secondary photography and videography.

Can you compare the C70 vs C400 ?
@MrMoviePhoneEx2 ай бұрын
Different cameras. For Commerical work, the 400 all the way! For commercial and more narrative work where things are going to be tight - including the budget - c70 is still pretty solid, but the c400 will offer you more options. For one man camera departments, the auto focus on the c400 is noticeably better, but it’s nothing you can’t get around with the c70, just be careful to make sure you actually got your shot before moving on.

The image of the C70 is very soft! I’m looking to sell mine and get the C80 in large part because of that. It has the same sensor as the C400.
@MrMoviePhoneEx2 ай бұрын
@@livemusic it is soft, but generally in a good way. Skin pops without being overly harsh, highlight roll off feels a little more natural, and complex frames are easier to look at with getting caught up on sharp detailed edges. All that said, if you’re working in a mixed camera setup, the c70 will stand out in not such a good way for being soft even when the lens is tack sharp.

@@MrMoviePhoneEx Well said. I agree. But for me even when I work with only the C70 for a one-camera taking head setup I find I have touch the sharpening nearly to 100 in Premiere because I know the clients will think it’s slightly out of focus for that type of corporate work. Thanks for your reply.

I agree with everything you both are saying. I also preorder the C80 to replace the C70 because of Full frame sensor and the AF too. Yes I will do a video comparison between the C70 vs C400 for you sometime when in November when I am back from Cape Town.

There may be a glitch in the update! In my copy of it (I downloaded it last week) to get these changes to happen, I had to switch sensor mode into s35 and then back again, and now everything works as expected.
@KHCAMS2 ай бұрын
Oh really I am sorry to hear that. I have not experienced this with my C400. Did it happened again?
@MrMoviePhoneEx2 ай бұрын
@@KHCAMS I didn't realize I had already upgraded the firmware, when I saw your vid I thought a new one just launched. Anyway, watched the vid, tried adjusting the settings and everything stayed greyed out. Thought I missed something, then randomly tried switching it to s35 mode and everything worked - S&F 120 with auto focus. When I switched back to FF nothing was greyed out anymore, kind of odd, but everything is working as expected now. Aside from this firmware update, haven't had any other issues with the 400.

@@MrMoviePhoneEx Alright I see the point. For mine as well so far is working perfectly as it should be.

c80 c400 or r5 mark 2........choices are here
@KHCAMS2 ай бұрын
For pure videographer C80 or C400 depending of your wallet but for hybrid shooter you have also lot of option to chose from R5 C or R5 or R5 MII. What would you chose?

The biggest disappointment I’ve had from the c400 packaging so far is that manual… There are so many things that camera can do that is not covered in the manual. Think of it as a primer to the basics of the camera at best.
@KHCAMS2 ай бұрын
Oh yeah you are right, I was reading and in some instead it you need to read on the online version. It is funny. Maybe Canon wants to save money on not printing the full manual. Right?

@@KHCAMS I'm sure there's a study out there that told them over 90% of user manuals never leave the box, I'm probably an anomaly by modern standards ;)
@KHCAMS2 ай бұрын
@@MrMoviePhoneEx I think you are right, if you watch most of unboxing videos the manuals are throwing away with some degree of sarcasm to it to be honest. Maybe that is the reason too.
