@8:40 into the video where you say “this is one of the most important tests for me”, the c70 can barely focus on the subject. That alone makes the selection a no brainer.

@JaggedLens if you also look where I'm outside at night little by a lamp. I had to run that test at 12800 iso about 5 times cause c70 wouldn't focus in low light. I would normally just manual focus. But for test sake I left both cameras to AF the entire time so I could test it.

Hey thanks man. Yea that was actually my biggest surprise, the color shift between the two. I do like the green shift a lot more then magenta for sure. And for DR, no way either are 16 stops. Lol.

The C80 is not a full-frame C70. Different sensor, different camera. I hope Canon will bring back that DGO sensor in the future.

Thanks for doing this that was a ton of work and showed more details than some of the larger review channels. To me, I liked the image overall of the C80 which had more of a green tint than the C70's magenta. But for skin tone, I felt out of your examples the C80 looked more film-like. But I'm sure they could be matched fairly easy in color grading. Right now I'm shooting on the Blackmagic 2.5k for my YT and I still use my 5dmkII lol. Shot weddings on them but it was not too fun! The C70 definitely has more dynamic range, cined tested it at I12.3 stops at a signal to noise ratio of 2. It's crazy how Canon claims 16. Absolutely bogus. But for reference, Blackmagic's 13 claimed stops was measured at 11.6.

yea the c70 has a really hard time keeping focus at low light. always has. C80 is amazing keeping focus.

12,800 base ISO is all you need to know. that makes it worth the upgrade. Recently moved to Sony for all my video work partly because the FX3 handles noise so much better but that 12,800 ISO is a beast. Also found the IBIS to be much much better.

@donndonnn the c70s was really loose and wiggled a lot. C80 does not. Yet. But they feel the same. So it may over time. But brand new from box it is stiff and doesn't make weird movements.

I prefer the image of the c70. To me at this point the image coming out of the c80 looks like the r5 mk ii. I'm in the market for a second c70 for $2500 now. They only gonna get cheaper too.

@maiigophotography from what I have seen from other test. I do agree with you. It's jus when shooting in tight spaces a full frame is helpful not sure how good is the speed booster

@@daniellove162both work very well. Just disable the Digital IS when using a lens with IS of a gimbal to prevent unwanted weird shakes

Yea it always seemed to be slightly darker at all times. All tests here were same exact settings at all times. C70 was very magenta and a little darker.

@@davido9450 no. Rf 24-70. At constant 2.8 or 4.0 for every shot. But changed iris on both each time.
