Oh my goodness!!!! I can’t believe I was able to do this on my own. Usually I’d have to call my broth who’s a computer analyst & ask for his help, but I followed your very simple instructions and only viewing the video once I was able to connect or & scan!!!! I’m not computer literate & I’m so grateful to you for this simple straightforward video, God Bless!

Thank you for your excellent instructional video. I have 2 questions. Multiple Amazon Reviewers (recent reviews) state that the Lide 300 scanner is not Windows 10 compatible. They actually indicate that they were unable to install the scanner on Windows 10 OS. Which Windows OS are you using in this video? I just want to confirm if you are definitely using Windows 10. My second question, can you set the resolution to custom settings when scanning a Photograph (300dpi, 600dpi, 1200dpi, etc.)?

Thanks for the comment. It can definitely be installed on Windows 10. In fact, in my video I used Windows 10 for the installation. And you can set custom scan resolutions using the settings button.

It can also be used on Windows 11. I followed the exact same procedure and it worked exactly the same way.

The CD driver does not often have the latest version of the software.

No. The installation is a one time process, provided you’re using it with the same computer each time.

Why not use the follow come driver that was in the cd or is the cd for decoration purposes

The driver and software on the CDs are often not the latest versions. It’s always best to download the latest versions online

Did you ever have a problem with the scanner always making a black vertical line on the right side of the image when scanning something? if so you know any way to get rid of the black line?

@@Reviewlamp Mine was doing that right out the box. didn't even notice until a week after I got it and I started scanning images that took up the page more.

@@nezumke No, I even tried cleaning the scan head and glass and checking to make sure nothing invisible was sticking to the the glass and it's still showing a black line on the side. I can only assume the head is just bad and that's why it's doing that.

After 10 years of using Canon Lide 70 I suddenly got this black vertical line. No matter what I tried I could not get rid of it so I bought a new canon lide.300 , I find it hard to believe that review lamp has not heard of this problem. It is so serious that it caused me to purchase another scanner !!!
