So have you guys seen that video from Media Division about how they used a large format lens to record video at f0.3? That's pretty much exclusively what I picture about when about using large format lenses on modern cameras.

Guess I need a tele lens on my Graflex View II, now that bought the Nikon F adapter, same idea as video. My "Weegee" Large Format lens is 127mm, a slight wide-angle. The focal dist of the FD adapter to the sensor (D750 has a theta mark) is about 70mm. Seems I need a 197mm lens to get it to focus to infinity. Reducing focal dist with a bag bellows is an idea, or a shorty bellows. This isn't explained in the other video (the girl w. sunglasses). 10 seconds about this business would have been nice. Now wondering about a 2x teleconv on the Nikon, they are cheap, can't hurt as I can use it for sthing else. A recessed lens board only saves about 10mm I think. For me guess it's 210mm for my Graflex, or stick to 4x5 film. Notice on the Toyo shown it's a 240mm lens!

Is it possible to shoot in full format or is it only suitable for the APS-C format?

This adapter is actually only for full frame Canon EF cameras. APS-C would crop in too much and you wouldn't get a useable stitch.

@@therealmattmendoza It's tricky. Long story short, you'll need a 200mm lens to focus to infinity with a field camera. Anything wider won't focus to infinity.

Hi! I got a monorail view camera, Toyo 45 CX, after already owning a Toyo field 45 X - as expected, the adapter had limited use with the field AX, but I was disappointed to find out the limitations stayed the same with the view CX - any ideas why?

@@alice__miceli It's focal flange distance. Because our stitching adapter places your digital camera's sensor farther back from the 4x5 camera than its existing film focal plane, you need longer lenses with a longer focal flange distance to maintain infinity focus. Lenses shorter than 200mm need to be closer to the film plane to focus, so they won't focus to infinity with our adapter.
