Canon EOS R 50 📸 Best Travel and Vlogging Camera in 2023

It was one fine day in Melbourne Today, so I decided to take the Canon EOS R 50 out for a test.
This is a great compact camera that is ideal for street photography, travel and video too!

4k @30fps slowed to 24fps looks absolutely amazing. No need for the inferior 60 fps. Problem solved. 👍

That's great to know. Do you think it looks just as smooth at 30fps for walkthrough type videos? Canon just released a new R 10-18mm lens which I want to try out soon which will be a good option for wider angle stills and video walkthrough 👌

@@Touchtechnologyreview I recently bought the Canon R50 and Nisi 9mm f2.8 RF manual focus lens. Absolutely perfect for shooting real estate. I've researched this because of the R50 having 4k@24 & 30fps, and from all accounts the 30fps is vastly superior when put into a 24fps timeline. I shoot all my real estate properties but hired a professional editor day one, and she agrees this looks amazing when edited like this. And it also helps that my Dji mini 2 drone footage is also shot in 4k @30fps and slowed to 24fps. Very uniform and the real estate videos look so much better, more professional. Incidentally, I don't do walk through videos as of yet, I steer my clients into a professional video. Not at all a fan of vertically shot videos. It's just horrible, like a ignorant tourist or a kid who doesn't know any better. Finally, not a fan of Canon lenses, the camera bodies are the best, the lenses I avoid.

EOS 600D and EOS R50,which one is good for videos

The EOS R 50 has 4k video and a better auto focus system. The 600D can only shoot up to 1080p.

Hi there, yes I am using the 18-45mm kit lens for all the photos and video in this production. Very compact an light which makes it ideal for travel. Only thing it lacks is wider open aperture for depth. at 18mm it stops down to f4.5 and at 45mm it is f6.3. Find for most situations, but for interiors it might mean using a higher ISO and depth of field is limited. So at some point adding a prime with 1.8 aperture would be worth considering....

Because the aperture does not go down to 1.8 on the kit lens you can't really do low light hand held shots so you need a tripod. Shooting at 800 to 1600 iso produces a pretty clean image. Full frame cameras with prime lenses that have a wider aperture are better for night photography but you are looking at 3x the price to get an EOS R8 plus prime lens for example.@@maryantonettejalimao7024
