Thanks. Yes, mostly. I do that with all cameras. Since I shoot in RAW anyway, you can get more out of underexposed photos than overexposed ones. This is usually very helpful, especially when the sun is bright.

@@gunslinger163 If you want to be inconspicuous in street photography, then the g7x is perfect. You seem like a tourist, nobody expects the little thing to take such good pictures. I also have other cameras like the Fujifilm or Sony A7IV, which I then use for other projects. Concert photography and video, for example. But sometimes I have to go out on the street with them.

After you take the picture and go into lightroom, is there a filter that you're choosing or are you having to go through and play with the warmth, saturation, sharpness etc based on what you think looks best? I'm not sure how lightroom works. Thank you so much in advance.

I load the image into Lightroom. Then I choose my default preset which I use most of the time. Sometimes the preset fits perfectly. Most of the time I still correct light, shadow and contrast.

Only if you don't have a huge zoom. If you have a new iphone, I probably wouldn't switch.

May I know what do you set your 'picture style' setting on your G7 X II , or do you change it on the go?

I always shoot in the standard RAW profile and then process the images with Lightroom.

@@meung__ I phrased something wrong. When you set Raw, it doesn't matter which profile is set. The profiles are for jpeg only.

Ich denke rein für Street Photography oder auch für kleinere Projekte ist die Kamera sehr gut geeignet. Vor allem die Größe und die Leistung dazu machen es echt interessant. Die Sony ist zwar super gut aber mit manchmal zu groß und schwer für street :D

Ja muss mich mittlerweile auch echt zwingen, die A7IV für die Street zu benutzen. Aber wenn ich sie dann benutze, denke ich mir immer wieder WOW.

Danke, ja die stehen aber meist nur dort, wo sie nicht gebraucht werden. Vor Botschaften oder wo irgendwas bewacht werden muss.

I prefer the canon g7x mk2. But only because the camera has a touch screen. Otherwise there is no difference in image quality

@@pixelkiez ansonsten mache ich eigentlich 99% der bilder mit dem smartphone. Mit dem Volume Button hat man ja noch ein minimales haptisches Gefühl und die Bildqualität/Verarbeitung ist bei den neuesten Phones sehr gut geworden. Lasse immer öfters meine Kompakten zuhause. DSLMs sowieso, da zu gross, ausser für geplante Projekte. Da ich wenig Zeit mit Bildbearbeitung verbringen möchte, sind die out of camera JPGs der Smartphones sehr gut geeignet.
