So many handy little features in this camera. The wifi shooting is awesome to get shots of yourself and transfering files to your phone lets me walk up to a couple, take a photo of them, flip to my phone, do a quick edit, and email it to them on the spot. Much better than a business card

Hey Peter, I've been watching your videos for several months since I got my M6mkii. I dig how you're chill and not an animated entertainer type. I've learned a lot, thanks! In my experience there is a lot of brand loyalty with camera gear. Most people (myself included) buy into the glass of one brand (and even one mount type). I am not a pro, but I consider myself an enthusiast. With that said, I've only owned one camera before my M6mkii. I guess this means, that I would not really be interested in other brand camera videos. This doesn't mean I would unsubscribe, but I would definitely skip any non-Canon content. I suggest to continue labeling the video with the camera brand. I also suggest finding more non-brand camera content to put in-between. I would like to watch more about your shooting wildlife. Maybe a new bird search series would be cool!

I have always used wifi to connect to the camera, I even assigned a function button to open the wifi menu to make it easier, and I just realized I can just pair it with Bluetooth and it'll do the rest wow! big thanks for the tip, now I have extra button I can assign whatever i want xD and for the giveaway I think it's your right to pick whoever you want, youtube has nothing to do with it and last thing about the camera if you have a any camera shop around you try to make some kind of deal where you borrow the camera and review it instead of buying a new one just to review :) there is camera conspiracies gets all the gear for a shoutout (I think 😂)

Being a solo shooter I use the app all the time. It saves me so much time while shooting and I was surprised how easy it was to transfer with Wi-Fi option. Camera Conspiracy guy is very entertaining. He is so random with his comments. I'm in Arizona and there is a camera shop here called Tempe Camera. Could be a good option to look into. Thanks.

@faspete2nd3 жыл бұрын
The transfer does take a long time and I don't think there is a workaround. I think it has to do with the signal coming out of the camera. It's not fast enough to transfer the files any quicker.

This was a fun one to make. Well, they are all fun, but this one was in the works for 3 months. I cut a lot out of the video explaining all the problems I had trying to create it. Memory cards failing me, weather getting in the way, premiere pro crashing, camera angles not working, uploading different frame rates, and forgetting to turn on my microphone. It was a mess, but I had a great time doing it.

@@faspete2nd I’m glad you were able to finish it. That is one of the tasks us techies have, having everything work without any problems. @@faspete2nd give it some thought, go in the direction that you think you want to go. I found your channel because you were showing me how to use the Canon M6 Mark two. I still reference back when I wanted to do something. So I’m not figuring it out while I’m shooting. I only have canon, and good canon glass. I only shoot high school sports. I will say it’s a challenge to use the M6 , I keep going back to my 5D3. Maybe it’s the smaller sensor in the end six that makes things difficult, I was hoping to use the frames per second that are much higher with this camera versus my 5D 3. Trying to use the tracking and auto focus around the basketball court with 10 players is quite challenging. The only one that has to be satisfied at the end of the day is yourself, enjoy what you do and stick with it.

Great primer man! Quick question sir. I'm torn between this camera and the Fuji X-S10. Did you compare the two before buying and what swayed you to get the Canon? Thanks Peter.
@faspete2nd3 жыл бұрын
The reason I went Canon is the tracking and auto focus ability. The X-S10 is okay but not as good. I do wildlife photography and a lot of fast moving subjects so i wanted the better rated canon. If i was not doing wildlife I would go with Fuji and the stabilization. Having stabilization in fantastic.

You are so knowledgeable with your Canon Camera, Canon Software, and Canon Lens. So if anything I would continue this channel only for Canon Specific topics, but create a 2nd Channel for that specific type of Camera you choose. Just my idea. Hope you like it, but either way I will support what you do.

Hi, I am also here for Canon inspiration. Remember that there are a lot of review channels, so maybe find an angle you enjoy. Maybe you can focus on the reviews and your bird thing 🤔
@faspete2nd3 жыл бұрын
I like my no fuss approach to the reviews so I think I will stick to that. If you have seen my other videos you will notice I get to the point without all the B-Roll. I talk a lot, but don't belabor the point of the video by adding all the "extra" stuff or "story telling". I try to be as concise as I can and give as much information as I can as quick as I can. I have taken the camera out a few times detailing how I use the it in the field (birding, kayaking, fishing, camping and hiking), but that's a completely different workflow that I still need to refine before I release a video about how I use the camera.

Just a thought, but if you look at my channel and then your channel, you got more subscribers and got monetized on fewer videos then me. I think that's because you stick to the M6 mark II and only that and I'm all over the place 😄 Another reason could be that the quality of your videos might be better than mine 😊 I understand that you want to try out other cameras, that's why I've not stuck to just that camera. You might loose some of your followers that has subscribed to you because of the M6 mark ii if you change camera, or system all together, but you might also gain new ones that find you from your new content. It's just a chance you have to take. My philosophy is that I want to make videos that gain traction, but I also want to make videos that I want to make, not just cause thats the kind of videos that the viewers want. If I only make videos for the viewers then I won't find this interesting anymore. I think you should do what you want to do so you don't loose interest, but gain more knowledge about other camera gear 😊 You could also keep the M6 mark ii and make comparison videos, just to keep the M6 mark ii content going 😊 Anyways, that's just my thoughts 😊 I am curious on what new camera you have in mind though 😉 My first guess is the R6 😊 but it could also be the R5... 😊

I don't think the app is asking for the computer to change the firewall requirements. I thinks it's the computer "protecting" itself from an unknown app.
