Is it necessary to install the app on a chrome book? I was able to print from my iPad once I was connected to the internet but still unable to print directly to my computer. The computer shows up in settings and gives me the option to setup. Once I get yo the set up page I’m told the printer needs advanced set up. There are many videos on here that are not doing that and are able to print.

Sir I brought Canon Pixma E477 wifi printer. I pressed Power button first, then Wireless button. After that I turned on Wifi in my Smartphone but could not find Printer series name in Wifi available devices. It was useless. Do this Canon Pixma G3010 connect with smartphone wirelessly without inserting given CD in Laptop or PC for installation setup? Kindly reply if you know the answer.
