Love this video, nice and clear. I have the exact same printer and it has been working great for years with NO problems, until recently. Something happen with using the scanner, usually it worked automatically, but recently when I press the scanner button I get the message "configure scanner to PC" it no longer does it automatically. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Can I reconnect the printer to my PC wirelessly again?

Thanks for the comment much appreciated. Perhaps try uninstalling the existing printer software and reinstall.

@@GeekStreet Thank you for your input, but I'm not brave enough to mess about with uninstalling and reinstalling anything as I'm a 73 year old who has NO idea about technology. Anyway, I have just got intouch with Canon about the printer,eventually, so I'll wait to hear what they say.

Hello. I bought this printer 3 days ago and your talk through was a great help, Thank you. I only have 3 issues 2. The power cable will not stay plugged in the back of the printer it is loose and keeps falling out & 3. I had my old printer on share with my husbands Apple PC but his PC now states that it cannot find the new Cannon printer, any suggestion's please?

Thanks for the comment much appreciated. That's very odd for the power cable to keep falling out are you sure you have pushed it in enough? I don't recommend you do this but perhaps wedge in a pen lid or take take back to the shop you purchased to get a replacement cable. Perhaps your husbands printing is missing the driver?

Hi sorry about that I posted before I was finished. Problem 1. Was on the box the printer stated was a Cannon PixmaMG4250 and the driver disk stated Cannon PixmaMG4200 should this be?

1+ year has passed,is the printer still working? does it have any flaws that appear overtime?

Yes it's bean over a year and I am really pleased with it. No flaws so far but a couple of comment, replacement ink cartridges are really expensive so ive brought compatible one from eBay and they work fine. I've tried refilling my own but that's been problematic, but other than that I'm pleased with it.

The flimsiness of the scanning lid must be for a reason. Surely it's not made that delicate, regardless of a cheaper price.

Its actually fine, it lifts high so you can put a book in for example. I've had it a while now and it's great. Cons are cartridges are expensive.

@@GeekStreet Even compatible cartridges are way too expensive. I used to own a brilliant Epson printer and like a set of new inks for that was about £1 and there were 4 or 5 cartridges with individual colours.

Works for me, add to your wifi network and add printer on your computer it should automatically find and add any drivers required.
