So this has to have an ethernet connection?? I have to hook this up to my modem? I have an iPhone and was hoping to print using that with this printer. I just bought it on marketplace it works fine plugs and starts right up no issues

This printer is wireless and has WiFi connection function. And, yes you can print to it from your Android or iPhone using the Canon Print app from Play Store or App Store.

Canon TR4522 only supports WiFi 2.4 GHz. Your xFinity router should support dual band 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Suggest giving xFinity a call and see if they can enable 2.4GHz band on your router if it's not already enabled.

@@debraburrows8435 Use the * key to change from Upper case to Lower case, numbers and letters. Use the # key for symbols and use the arrow key to get to the next space. If you type a number it will automatically move to next space however. Use the arrow key to go back under the character and the half circle arrow to then delete the character if mistyped. The characters are hidden so watch as you type for correct entry.

Press the ON button for a few seconds to turn off the printer. When the ON lamp stops flashing, the printer is turned off.

I bought this printer kzbin.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 to replace an aging HP printer. It is just used for casual home printing so I don't need anything more. Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi
