Thanks ...great video! Ich have the 110mm and the 150mm 3.5. The 150 mm is really good. And i use the 80 but .....without the focal reducer....yes it is an awesome lens!

Thank you! I may have to get the 150mm. That would be a fun focal length to play with.

Jared, I’m really like this series on the Mamiya lenses on the R system. I’d encourage you to try the Mamiya 150/2.8. It’s a beauty. Also, I’d like to see you focus more on head shots perhaps using some of the statues in the cemetery. That would give your viewers more of an idea of the background bokeh characteristics they can expect from portraits with these MF lenses.

Are you located in Door County, WI? I saw Wilson's at the beginning. Such a beautiful part of my state.

You can’t beat the look these produce. How do you like the 150? Out of the ones you own which is your favorite. You will love the 45mm. Such a useful field of view with amazing compression.

@@JaredHoyman The 150 is good, just about the same quality as the other Mamiya 645 lenses, great bokeh and sharpness, also has that pro mist look built in.....so far my favorite is the 55mm f2.8 which is crazy to me since i thought it would be the 80mm. Its sharp wide open and like you said about the 45mm, has that wide fov with the nice 55mm compression.

@@JayTsPhoto Once you get try out the 45mm let me know which one you like better compared to the 55mm. I'm curious.

@@JaredHoyman Okay so after having the 45mm for a couple days, its pretty good. I like that it is so wide without much distortion at all, the 55mm has some barrel distortion but its sharper and the compression is about on the same level quality wise. Unfortunately my copy was supposed to be "Near Mint" from ebay but when i got it, i had to rip it apart to get it usable (loose mount, helicoid has no grease etc)....but the glass is super clean so im keeping it.....i also have a flickr page id share to show some samples but youtube will block the link

Hi. The cemetery stuff is OK...we now have an idea of what these are like for landscape. As in my previous comment about the 45/2.8 I would like to see the 60/2.8 and longer lenses used in some portraiture shot at or cropped to 1:1 aspect ratio to approximate 120 film medium format. Indoors would be great but outdoors in some modified light would do. One principal reason one would want to do this and buy this equipment is to get that medium format 120 film look. This video looks like it is 16:9 aspect ratio. Thank you for your consideration.

I did include full uncropped photos as well in the video and that squirrel posed perfectly ;). I can probably take some people photos too in a future video.

Idk Man, call me weird, but I like the cemetery vides. The Mamiya lenses are really sick I have used theses lenses on bellows for product photography I am a fan of them if you can find them reasonably priced and in good condition.

There is a guy in the UK on KZbin called "Tin House Studios" that also uses Mamiya lenses (I think) to do product photography on full frame Canon DSLRs (EOS 5DS ?) but I think he has recently changed his body to Fuji ?
