There's no need to use the printer direct wifi. You can use your own wifi avoiding disconnecting from Internet or even your own network access. Just select the Router option and use WPS (id your router supports it) to setup the connection. Add the printer in Windows 11 for it to install drivers and controllers. It works great.

Can you tell me the actual image file size? Pixel wise and resolution? Because most of the time, the selphy will crop the image smaller than it is.

What do you do if you DO NOT have WiFi? My laptop computer is connected directly to the network via a LAN cable. So I assume that I will not be able to use this printer with my laptop. Is this true?

Take a usb c cable and connect it to pc. Ignore the error message from windows and print

Sadly the prints come out of the printer rather dark😢 and it is guessing on how much you have to edit the image to get the right color

I followed your direction on point yet my print didn't get full page. it only printed around 80% even when using the USB cable with the same print output.

This is very weird, it never happened to me. Did you tried printing from another computer just to see if the problem is coming from the computer or the printer?

Okay, I just bought one but is it just me or does anyone else has this issue where there are white vertical lines on the print, it's not super visible but noticeable if you focus on the photo. Also, as a 300dpi printer, printing a photo from a 56megapixel canon 5dsr shouldn't be a problem! But that came out a bit blurry instead of detailed. Did I get a defective one or is it just because of the sample provided with the printer? Printing a black and white from a 24 megepixel fujifilm came out pretty nice but is that its limit - A black and white and 24mp camera?

sounds like you have an "overcoat" or stamp applied -- once you are looking at the layout of what your print will look like - go to overcoat options at the bottom -- sounds like you are describing the "intensive line" option -- is that selected? deselect it? does this help?

@@tracyshelly7876 Hi, I appreciate that you've replied. I went through the settings and none of those things were ever selected by default. But it's not the fun stamps either. It's now only on some photos and it isn't visible unless you look at it for a long time. It is still annoying sometimes tbh when you want to look at your photos. It's usually 1 inch away from the left edge of the photo; just a straight line from top to bottom. I read in the forums that a lot of people complained about this also for this printer. I'm assuming because of the dye process. The colour sheet is probably not lining with the other passes. Thank you for your help though!

I bought one yesterday from Best Buy, brand new, and the first photo I printed had that thin line on the left as well. First photo was color then I printed another in B&W and couldn’t really see that line again. I read about it before I bought it hoping I wouldn’t get it, unfortunately I may have got a defective unit.

@@theepeopleschamp Yes, the black and white print looks really decent in my opinion. I read that getting a new set of dye ink would fix it but I think the problem is when the dye is being rolled on the photo paper it wrinkles somehow maybe that's the cause of the visible line? On the new set of dye cartridge, it's still there but way less noticeable than the free photo paper and dye that came with the printer. I think I might sell in soon. Unless, I'm only going to shoot black and white and it's pretty nice for family gathering too. I gave multiple copies for my family on a special occasion. That's about it. I end up buying a better printer by the way last July. Very big difference on the color range!

Why does Canon say that this printer is only certified to work under Windows 11?
