Canon SX220 lens problems (Lens Error)

Displayed error messages: Lens error, Will shut down automatically, Restart camera.

When pushing the lens back in you locate the metal paws into the first slots. Then you turn it anti-clockwise about 2mm whilst applying a little pressure, not a lot though. It will then fall into the second slot and it’s all done. Hope this helps.

Thank you!!!! I got rid of the dust ;) SX230 HS When closing, watch out for aluminum with inscriptions. I bent my fingers and the lens cover stopped closing.

I'm not sure, I don't have that camera. But if the dust is deeper towards the sensor than this method is not really useful.

It's hard to tell... make sure the flash is raised and also enabled. (The flash capacitor inside could be also damaged)

Power it ON and try to manually gently move each segment of the lens unit in and out.
