I have been using this camera for about 3 months now. Great shots! Looks great at youtube's default upload setting of 480p.

Thanks for the info. I just got one of these cameras and need to do some experimenting. I've only tried AVCHD so far but now I'm wondering if I will get better results with MP4 since that is also the format I will be rendering to Sony Movie Studio Platinum.

I've had the camera for maybe a year now. It's a decent camera, the only thing that pissed me off was the amount of noise i was getting in low light. Thank you for the tip, I will lower the exposure to minimize the noise

How many videos can you film in 60 fps with this camcorder before you run out of storage(my storage is internal 32GB)? I am talking about videos that are 15-30 seconds long.

I just picked up one of these camcorders. Can you please recommend me what settings would be best to record my son's soccer game. Thank you for the video, it made my purchasing a camcorder a lot easier.
@HuffDaddyYT8 жыл бұрын
+Napster1 depends on what you mean by setting. Its best to record at a high fps and high resolution to maximize the quality however the draw back would be it would take more space but I don't think that should be to much of a concern.

+♛ Huffdaddy™ Thanks for the reply Huffdaddy. I'm not really up on the camcorder lingo but your response is of big help. I might have to play around with the camcorder a little to see what looks best. As far as memory goes I picked up 2 samsung 128gb sdxc, games are 90 minutes long, how many games will 1 sd card roughly get me? thanks again.

So based on your comments it seems you think there is no difference in video quality between AVCHD and MP4? MP4 file sizes are much smaller correct?
@PGJStudios8 жыл бұрын
+Dave King Looking back at my footage, AVCHD (10 sec = 32mb) while MP4@60fps (10 sec = 38mb). The file size only differs by a few, but MP4's video quality can be adjusted to 4 settings (with 60fps being the highest). The only difference in video quality would just be the frames per second.

what program did you use to edit ..???? I also got this camcorder now but i cant cut and edit this ??? I got a Premierpro for editing my old movies from my old records in avi but i cant use it for this new one ..!! Can you please tell me what program you use to make this movie ..? and is it a software i can download for free ? Regards Fun Bülow
@PGJStudios9 жыл бұрын
FunBulow I had to actually bring the RAW AVCHD files into After Effects, then encode them into a format Premiere Pro recognizes. Make sure you shoot in MP4 mode if you want to do some more flexible editing.

Why do you shoot the daytime footage in MP4 and nighttime footage in AVCHD? Which is best?
@PGJStudios8 жыл бұрын
There's no good answer to that. I honestly thought that AVCHD would have better quality than MP4, but it didn't matter. I'm sure the same quality would have resulted from MP4. But in all honesty, I don't like the comparability of AVCHD with video editing software. Hope this answers your question!

Great video! I love these camera, what settings did you used in the night shoot? I mean, how do you get it to look bright but without noise?
@PGJStudios8 жыл бұрын
Under manual mode, bring the exposure down to a low setting & mess with brightness and white balance. This was a trial and error process, but thank you!

***** I didn't mess with the settings really, I just dragged the video files into Premiere Pro and made sure the export settings matched the same video settings.

How do you go about pausing a video that you're recording?
@PGJStudios9 жыл бұрын
Triple7Diehard4ever I'm not sure this video has a "pause" function, but you can simply click the recording button again to stop whatever you are recording.

Not bad... Kinda grainy but still not bad. Look up Remove noise and sharpen DSLR video in After Effects.

MetalUnboundTV This is a video test. It's supposed to show how the camera naturally looks without any added effects.

This camcorder is perfect for outside, but indoors it's horrible! Even with enough lighting the background will still be noisy/pixelated. Only canon camcorders are so noisy/pixelated without massive lighting and that shouldn't be.
