Shoot that badboy!… Been shooting Canon camcorders since 2007, I still rock a pair of XF305s. Looking to upgrade at some point to either C200 or XF605, still can't fully decide. Won't be for now so it's no rush. Excellent real world testimonial, this really helps those of us still on the fence. Props!… ✊🏿

Cinema cameras are only suitable for sit-down pieces, film, and promo spots, depending on the look, not events. I do it on occasion outdoors, but the reach is limited. As you noted, it's beautiful but a pure hassle. Get an on-camera light to sit on the camera, interviewing someone at events and games. I have shot films with the XF605 and shows combining the XF605 and C70s. You will be ahead of the same. Man, you can live-stream shows and games just by plugging the camera into a laptop with a wireless connection and sound from the event. I know because I did it for years.

Even if you go to the C400, keep the XF605. It's more used and has a longer life. Clog 2 and all that dynamic range talk is not that big of a deal. Don't fall for the hype. You need to give the R5c a bigger look because it can deliver more than that c400 if you really compare. It's all about the glass. Look up something called a cineback that rigs up mirrorless as cinestyle camera.
