Plzz note that at the end it's actually canonical transformation of x & y with respect to p & q but its not canonical transformation of p & q

What is that difference between old and new Co ordinate?

Before transformation the coordinates are old one and after transformation they are known as new one. Old ones are those from which you want to transform into other ones.

Is this a transformation between reference frames, or is this a transformation of the Hamiltonian from one point in time to another?

Given that the linear transformation of a generalized coordinate q and the corresponding momentun p,. Q= p +4ap, P=q+2p. It is canonical then find the value of the constant "a". Plz sir solve this quest( msc physics previous ques..)
