This was the so called Prinsengracht concert in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with the Roumanian/British soprano Nelly Miricioiu , who was the darling of the Concertgebouw over decades and also present on other occasions like here in the open air, saturday evening 17th August 1996 with tenor Luca Canonici as her special guest. Luca (1960) was only 36 years here and Nelly (1952) 44 years. There is a special CD with the whole concert, where Luca sang Una fortiva lagrima, Libiamo ne' lieti calici and O sole mio and one of his best aria's E la solita storia
