You mentioned all the problems I have also had with pastelmat. I am using Uart right now until I can get my hands on the new canson velvet which should be this month here in the US

Thanks for the review, as a coloured pencil artist who loved using the Pastelmat Board but was getting surfaces that wouldn't take pencil and made a terrible smudgy mess I'm very interested to try this new surface.
