It's because she is Turkish. In Indian and Muslim languages, most consonants are pronounced the same. Well said, some remakes are just good and creative in their own right and do a good job of paying homage to the original. This is definitely one of them. One more little detail, tu musafir main teri manzil the line in the beginning of the remake is a shout out to the movie Musafir that the original belongs to, nice touch. I always listen to both versions back to back as well. The original is a great song to sing and the remake great to dance to. Feel like I'm the only one who appreciates remakes these days. And yes the creepy body shots and stuff is cringe and the remake got rid of the objectification while managing to keep the song sexy and classy. You can clearly see how times have evolved.

I love the original song. Never really been a fan of the video. I found it off back when it came out but always loved the song. Yet the newer one video is a lot better and entertaining. It still objectifies. I will always prefer the original but I must give credit to the newer one it is a good song. However most of it was original and good they really didn’t need the chorus from an older song.
