In 1954, Jim McKie, Bill Dukes, Don Bruce and Terry Hitchings explored Fiordland on a Canterbury Museum expedition. The team helped survey previously unmapped areas of Fiordland and searched for any signs of kākāpō on the four-week research trip. They also made this film of their expedition.
