The sheer athleticism, skill and courage make this SO exciting and beautiful to watch! The warrior spirit is alive, well, and breath-taking! No judgement on whip use, but watching a rider who isn’t using one, sail past those who are, is particularly thrilling. It must take a lot of guts and faith in yourself and your horse to forego that advantage. Anyone can MAKE a horse run. Inspiring a horse to WANT to run and give all that he has, because he feels your heart, is truly awe inspiring. Love to all.❤️

If you guys don’t like the way we race than don’t watch the videos if it pisses you off and these horses are trained to do this and is used to the wip but at least we aren’t giving them drugs to stay awake like other people are 🙄

Since you ride bare back, the horse can throw you off anytime it wants. These horses won't run when they don't want to.

This is sooo much more interesting than typical racing why would anyone get pissed off by this? Like seriously have y’all even seen what normal racing is like? it’s boring. And don’t even get me started on how some of the horses are treated 👀

Horses and rider are as one . This is the ultimate race both horse and rider enjoy . I could understand someone making that comment if they never experienced horse as a friend . Respect trust . Care . These young warriors should be proud and keep playing and respecti g the magical animals who are so much more then the eye takes in . They are definitely bog enough to refuse is our will . But when they love and trust you its spiritual . Love to all . . Try and find positive in everything . Try to be grateful when you have little . Try and care for a horse . Groom them. feed them. clean the feet muck the stalls and you will feel better about the bond between these riders and their ponies . Lotta work and so exciting and beautiful to watch . The guys don't even have a whip its like a soft belt . Encouragement . Building a sense of competition and urgency . They are enjoying this . And not doped up to run with painful injury . American horse racing . More like a use em up and trash them when they have run their hearts out .
@markhenry23604 жыл бұрын
@Michael Burkinshaw my bad on that . I still think it is exciting . Maybe some horses are into leather . Sorry bad joke . I don't use a whip myself to hit a horse but for training in s round pen . Gets they're feet moving and learning to change direction also you can touch the legs with it so they get used to touching . My friend knows me and what I want from her without a bit only body language or looking in the direction . I have known some pretty testy horses and the could be responding better with a little spank . Like when you slap a two year old catching them repeatedly putting the finger in a light socket . To each they're own . I really don't think these ponies mind . To them its part of the play with the boys . My girl would slow down and the whip would not make her run faster . She'd be like what the hell was that and prolly kick at it . Do you have horses ?

I have never seen these races before and that was great. The exchange was amazing and it makes the race more exciting because it depends on the exchange if you will keep your lead so anything can happen. At the 17:35 time mark that rider barley got thru the exchange without a broken bone. Whoever is complaining about how these horses are treated and the use of whips you have no F#%king idea what you are talking about. Some on these riders don't even use whips and no tack which the horses prefer no loading into start gate where horses can easily break a leg and then get put down . Every horse race the riders whip the hell out of the horses from start to finish. Watch some start gate fails and see how the race horses like getting into that gate. These horses look in great shape and they like to run when they are healthy and these horses have a lot of energy. So before you comment on these races you should know what your talking about unless it's just a racist thing with native americans and in that case F#%k Off

My husband used to sulky race in the SW. He knows a lot about horses. We watched with dismay the number of horses that were whipped. Whips should be outlawed. If a rider and horse are truly one unit, then the horse will respond without giving it a beating. We also believe professional thoroughbred racing should also outlaw whips. Please do not allow whipping of horses.
@sarahdlp5244 жыл бұрын
See? The one who sat quietly and rode with his hands, won. The one in the lead who was twisting to whip, sitting up, tensing and unbalancing his horse - lost the lead. You don't have to whip so much.

most ponies have a better bone density than horses, draft horses can only carry as much as regular horses because their bones are not very dense.
@mus34155 жыл бұрын
@@emmahandy1512 Draft horses can carry alot more than an "average" horse. Of course he they're meant to pull heavy things- which is what they're bred for- and not meant for riding, per-say. Draft's even take longer to mature because of their bones.
