Well, prices for TBS figures are higher, but not much higher than TVC figures anymore ($25 vs. $17). Discounts on Black Series however are usually much better so that it's often cheaper to collect 6". As a TVC collector that makes me mad especially since Hasbro claim The Black Series to be their PREMIUM line. Hope you're doing well! We miss your videos.

As a Black Series collector since 2015, I’m genuinely interested to know how many newer collectors their are to the line since 2018 when the Archive line began and the photo real kicked in 🤔 Also, Hunter and Crosshair are going to restock this November at Entertainment Earth, so patience will save 💰 pockets. Great video - I think your advice on narrowing down the IP you love is great. Definitely wise words on "it's expensive and addictive." Also - for new collectors, you can try to, what I call, "troll" a series of websites daily - I know - crazy - but it works. Each day (usually at the same time), I "do the rounds" of checking - "Funko," (for "back-in-stock Pops that I may have missed, are HUGE /ridiculous prices on second market sites, that randomly pop back into availability." Next it's Amazon - depending upon the day - you can find a Black Series figure (that was like $40) dropping down to $30 or lower. It's weird but cool. I also (one random day there) found kind of generic light saber set for a record low of $40 (when this particular brand never drops below $80 - so wild (but I grabbed them). The us a USB charger and you can use one alone or connect them with a piece in them middle. So again - not Hasbro Black Series sabers (or Galaxy's Edge) but a fraction of the cost and were a great find. Next it's Target - I searched yesterday (looking for that new Mando "electronic' half-helmet) and low-and-behold the Obi Wan Kenobi Tibidon station (Target Exclusive) was back up for sale - grabbed a pre-sale and was still not believing my luck and the timing. Next Walgreens - a few days ago, again to my shock - they had the "Walgreens Exclusive" 212th Battalion Clone Trooper UP / available for shipping. Luckily I found one in a local Walgreens so I didn't get crazy or greedy and order another - BUT - within minutes - they were sold out. I think they were up for a short time on EE and then sold out but now EE says, "restocking soon." So hopefully fans can still score that one with that EE restock. Then Walmart (but Walmart has wonky variable pricing/ value algorithm) - it really gets prices on figures out-of-whack. And you usually have to check to see who is fulfilling the order. I used to think fulfillment was always Hasbro but they can be sold on Walmart by other retailers. GameStop - never my favorite but once in a while - something you are really seeking pops up at a great price. Finally - Entertainment Earth - again- some good deals here-and-there but (to me, personally) the shipping is really costly. I also visit Hasbro Pulse - but not daily - since there is a steady stream of people in the community (on social media and KZbin) keeping the community well up-to-date on drops. And frankly (oh boy I sound cheap) the prices there (and for figures in general) keep getting higher and higher - so, in a way, it's curbing my addition since I really can't afford certain figures when they are creeping toward $40 (when you factor in shipping and state tax). But good hunting everyone - and sorry for rambling. Too much ice coffee!

Wrecker was being clearanced at target for $9. This was 70% off their initial proce of $30. The $9 clearance was also during a time when target was doing $10 off a $50 purchase... meaning some got wreckers for ~$7.20 each.

I'm talking hundreds of the same figure for $26 a piece! and of course they never dropped the price for months and of course they never sold, then one day they were all gone and they changed the display completely because they couldn't sell them lol. . Like WHY would you charge that much for a army building figure that's not even that popular if your trying to actually sell a backstock that large? Stupid

I gotten my Wrecker for $21 from Amazon free shipping for Christmas and he looks badass. The only problem was that his DC-17m which every clone commando black series have are too small, so small I ordered a 3rd party resin upgrade gun from Etsy that was much bigger and more in scale with wrecker and he looked much better with it.

Great video. I’d add Commander Wollffe to the list. I’ve seen him on sale recently. Not the best clone body ever made but still a pretty good figure. Also the Snow Speeder Luke is a really solid figure that can 2 hand grip the helm out of his lightsaber. Thanks & keep up the good work.

I started collecting a few years ago. I don't have as many as others might. I started with Original trilogy and Prequel trilogy. I also collected some from Rogue One, and Solo. I also expanded to figures from Jedi Fallen order and a few from Battlefront. Since I didn't like the Disney trilogy I don't have many from that. I recommend that any new collectors to get the figures you want. And preorder the ones you want. GameStop is where I go to get most of the ones I preorder.

Take it from me.. if you’re a “new collector”.. STOP NOW before it’s too late ! Toys are pretty much luxury items.. the incoming price hike will reflect that. If you move house a lot, or live in a trailer.. just don’t do it! Also, if you’re looking for a girlfriend... consider the pool of potential mates to shrink accordingly. It’s an instant leg closer. Do I enjoy my collection? Of course. It’s all I have as it’s driven every other joy out of my life.

For me I decided that I would only collect SWBS figures from Star Wars '77 and once they stopped making those I would stop too. Fortunately they show no sign of doing that, but also fortunately they tend to keep it to just one or two figs in a year so it's not breaking the bank.

When I started buying black series I had one rule, no clones or troopers because I knew that it would get tedious and overpriced, take it from a guy who has bought tons xenomorphs and predators. Then at one point I came to the realisation that I didn’t want to buy sequel characters, scrapping those plans. Finally I decided to only pick up characters I genuinely wanted. I’ve done that and am pretty much finished with black series. The only ones I would plan to pick up are updates of Jedi Luke, rots obi wan and anakin. I will pick up Indiana Jones when he shows up though.

I am surprised by some of those on the list. I actually found Dooku & Bly on the shelf!, eventually. Sure glad I dumped all my Order 66 four-packs, before the archive 501st & 212th & Shock troopers reissues! Also, why doesn't anyone ever mention, the 4-pack with the Shadow guard & Senate Guard? I don't think most Black Series collector's even mention that set! Having 2 Shadow Guards standing to either side of Vader is pretty sick!

TVC has a much better track record, though if you enjoy 6" scale more, you could of course go for the Black Series, one massive advantage for TVC on the other hand imo is that the 3,75" SW figures have been around for decades and there's a lot more variety! But either way the choice is yours:)

I think you should have included the Jaina Solo Black Series figure on this list. She's a great figure who in my opinion is under appreciated. She's still relatively inexpensive if I recall correctly ( I already have her. I got her, back when she first released.) I feel like she's long overdue for a Archive rerelease. Besides collectors can't complete their collections without of the Solo family without Han and Lira's daughter.

Also personally, I like the BoBF Boba Fett more than the RoTJ one, just because of the black under-suit, I just think it looks cleaner, also I like the helmet on the BoBF more, because it doesn’t warp in, just my opinion tho
