Love this retrospective! The second Hellraiser is my personal favorite. Every film that follows gets worse and worse.

The end of Freddy Vs Jason originally was supposed to have Pinhead meeting them saying is something wrong here and then Freddy and Jason and Michael Myers was gonna happen next but that got cancelled because of rights issues. Yes they are making a TV show and it's set in the same continuity as the upcoming remake being written by David S Goyer. Mark Alan Miller and Clive Barker in 2018 just before the release of hellraiser judgement released a novella called hellraiser the toll which is canon and has kirsty 30 years after the hellbound heart but is set before the scarlet gospels and the remake a lot of scenes from hellbound heart but also have a new story of kirsty being on the run from the pale man who we find out is pinhead. The boom comics are only canon to the first 2 movies nothing after. Asides that that's all the hellraisery info that I should make aware

watching this retrospective now! I've always had a soft spot for the sequels, a lot of people dislike them but I think of them as anthology movies that center around the Lament box. None of them live up to the original movie or capture Clive's vision, but they are still all decent direct to DVD horror films. Little anthology of stories that involve Pinhead, the Cenobites or the box!

When I first saw Hellraiser I didn't like it at first. I had the wrong mindset thinking it was going to be slasher film with Pinhead as the killer. Re-watching it in recent years I love appreciate and understand it more know then when I first saw the movie.

Great retrospective. Have you thought about doing a retrospective on Dracula films?
