Күн бұрын

Welcome to my last contribution for Canuary 2024! Today I am going to show you the easy way to make jelly, FAST! Yes, you can use your own produce and extract the juice, but it's super simple to grab a juice and skip that step altogether.
Today I am using organic grape juice, plus Pomonas Pectin to make a no-sugar version, but you can also use sugar for a low-sugar jelly if you have that on hand.
This year for Canuary THREE Canners are being given away! Two are the new pressure canner from For Jars, one coming from Leisa, and the other directly from the company. They are also adding in several prize packs, and Leisa is taking it over the top with a steam canner this year too! Who is ready to win?
To participate, all you have to do is watch each of the Canuary videos posted throughout the month, and give us a comment! On January 31, Leisa will pull a winner from those who complete the playlist LIVE! How fun is that?
Here are the channels and dates to watch for that are participating in this collaboration.

It's called the curse of knowledge, when, as a teacher, you underestimate the depth of knowledge and experience that actualy goes into a "simple" process. So many details, but you made it simple and stress free by giving us a great way to practice. I was so overwhelmed last year, my first Canuary. How wonderful of you to remind us of how beautifully simple canning can be. Thank you!

I still remember as a child (younger than 5), cooking with my mother and grandmother in the kitchen. My grandmother would cinch up one of her aprons to fit me, and anytime there was flour involved, she'd put a little flour dot on the end of my nose. It's amazing what we remember from our childhoods, and your youngens will remember as well.

I make jams with many different ingredients found here in California, but often the ingredients are not available. I made a wonderful pomegranate blueberry jam with fresh pomegranates, but then I needed more so I purchased the juice, like you did here. Both fresh or purchased juice works, so I understand your thoughts. Another thought, you are correct that jams or jellies are a perfect way to get started. I have been jamming for years, but 2023 I finally took the plunge and tried to can other items myself. Thanks to Leisa, Forjars, and all of you for helping all of our families out in America learn and assist each other. What a tribute to American women!
