Very cool as a longtime Canucks fan to see Conor in his home oasis away from hockey as we get to see these guys for the real people they are. It would be great to see you do this with each player on the team as it is a great way to connect to them on a more personable level as fans. Thanks, Conor, for agreeing to do this and share this side of yourself with us!

I met your dad at a Canucks Carnival in the arena, when my sons were 7 and 11 (34 and 38 now, and still Canucks fans, way down here in Tacoma, Washington!) They were SO impressed to meet him, and he was absolutely lovely to them. Thank him for that, please: it means SO much to a little kid.

@@gocanux47 That's so awesome to hear! My dad was a great goalie, but he is an even better person and dad. Always did his best to find time for everyone. Thanks for the kind words, and I will definitely pass the message along :)

this year allowed garland to be the type of player I thought we were getting. garland is the type of role model you want in the dressing room to show the young prospects about what it takes to make it in the nhl. this league is different. pure talent is rarely enough for the nhl. you have to put the work in.

Garland is the perennial guy who doesn’t fit in. And every time he works his way up and imposes himself against all doubt. He even started that way in Vancouver. As Toch said don’t bet against a guy like Garland. That’s his superpower and why we love him ❤

As an Oilers fan that faced the Canucks in the playoffs, Garland was undoubtedly the most dangerous player on the ice and was a serious threat. He gave a lot of Oilers fans anxiety whenever he touched the puck. We wish we had someone like him on our team.

Years ago - loved Cliff Ronning. Conor Garland? Love the guy. Skilled, competitive, character guys with a lot of heart. Get the puck on your stick, and anything can happen. Conor, I think you'll appreciate this story. We have a little Bengal cat named Kono. Like most Bengals, he's a little intense and gets a little carried away at times, so he gets the odd timeout. We call him Timeout Boy. This year I brought my daughter to her first Canucks game. You served 2 team penalties that game. She asked me "that player in the box - who is he?" I said "that's Conor Garland". She replied "oh - so he's Timeout Boy!" She's now your new #1 fan, and she calls our Bengal Kono Garland. Go Canucks!

No God can compare to this man. He is above all. No question. Keep being humble and a good man, teammate, sibling, kid, great hockeyplayer and so on. Just keep being you. Remember, you are hated by your oppositon for a reason, that is because of how great you are. You deserve everything good in your life and every good thing that will ever happen to you. Love the Nucks, I´m from Sweden so Petey is my guy but you are my close 2nd no question. Thanks for all the great hockey moments!

I saw him in a preseason game when he was vying for a spot with the Coyotes. They were at home against the Kings and this young kid, smallest guy on the ice, is working hard every play and also irritating LA players. Kyle Clifford started looking to hit him any chance he got. But Garland kept his head up and kept battling. Next morning in the elevator at the hotel, Garland steps in and was super nice to my 4 young boys. We took a pic with him. He had big, wild hair back then too. Canucks fan now. Hope he gets the team's first goal this year too.

Sometimes you think you're going to be a big deal in the NHL. Sometimes you make it to the NHL, but you fall flat on your face. Sometimes... It takes time. Sometimes, you end up with just the right coach. You find your F-ING groove. You find your role. It doesn't happen when you think it should happen. You end up being one of the most talked about third line players in the NHL, not because you're an under achieving slacker, but because you're the hardest working god damn player on the team, doing exactly what the best third line in the NHL needs you to be. Connor, I'm so F-ING glad you didn't get traded. I understand why the trade talks happened, but... We love ya. Even if things don't work out in the next 12 months (that's business), as far as I'm concerned, 23-24 was your HARD YES redemption year to prove to we always had, with the right players an coaches around you. So glad you're a part of this year's team! Oh, and either you're a right shot, or you're.. that other hand. lol (hey man, I know we're in the minority, and I don't care)
