Let's talk about canvas settings...when it comes to Procreate, you have a variety of settings depending on what you will be using the app for. To start tap on the plus on the top right corner. Procreate comes with a default canvas size settings, which you can edit or remove by sliding to the left. For today we are going to create a new canvas. The first thing you're going to see is the dimensions. Please keep in mind that the larger the canvas size, the less layers you will have to work with and it also depends on your iPad specifications. Also, you can the option of choosing DPI (dots-per-inch). Standard print quality is 300 dpi. The lower the dpi the more pixilated the drawing will be. Next is Color Profile. There are 2 options you can choose from - RGB and CMYK. CMYK is a color mode intended for printing, if you plan on creating printable this is the option for you. If you will be sharing your drawings online RGB is the way to go. If you will be sharing your artwork process and doing a timelapse you can adjust the settings here. As for canvas properties, you can choose the background color but you can change this when you open your canvas. Before we move on to the next one, feel free to leave a comment below with any questions and I will do my best to answer each one of them.
