Well done on finishing first of 21 participants Scotty. Twenty-one! Couldn't help but notice how different it is to Southampton Common: we had 783 finishers yesterday and the first kilometre was, as ever, more congested than a rush hour tube train entering Leicester Square Station. Whatever, I'll give it a go if I'm ever in Idaho over a weekend.

Thanks David. It's so different! Participation in American Parkrun's is really low still compared to the UK.

@@scottysrunningworld Yes. I've noticed. I have a sister living in San Francisco, who did "jog", and I used to check the Crissy Field parkrun results from time to time (not that she ever put in an appearance) and their attendances were unimpressive -- only once stretching above 200. It did not survive the "lockdown". I suspect most Americans are suspicious about anything that's free. I mean: a free, marshalled and timed running event, PLUS: free parking at Canyon Rim!? What's that all about?

Scenery is spectacular. Well done on that elusive first finisher: the only hope I have of achieving that at Southampton or Eastleigh is if all the rapid runners succumb to the zombie apocalypse. On your way to Yellowstone were you?
