Tuff, excellent analysis. Of course Matias is not ducking. Right after the Erga fight he was interviewed and there's a video showing his busted hands. Then there's also a ProBox interview with Juan Manuel Marquez where he shows his hands. Nobody would do a unification fight with hands that are not fully recovered. Furthermore, he just fought 2 weeks ago and less than 3 months is not sufficient time to recover. So, more than about super bowl weekend or other factors this is about recovering and being 100% for such an important fight. I personally think it was a trick by Teo repel any criticisms of ducking but that's okay. The fight can be made but as you said, there's the Prograis fight.

Matias knew teo has had february reserved for over a month before he fought ergashev. If his hand was hurt after the ergashev fight, who is ranked #68, then he shouldve stfu and not called teo out and not decline his biggest payday.
