Wish I owned this game. I heard from a friend that I could have downloaded a software copy of this game on my PSP which would have been awesome. I don't even remember when I first saw this video. Might have been 2 years after it was released. Which would be 2008.

Video poster claims that all combos were done in Single, VS, or Ratio modes, but for some strange reason it's showing all the stats like he was doing them in Practice mode, not to mention the C Groove bar refills instantly after using a lvl 2 super move. Great job.

This video was on an old playlist and was among the first combo videos I ever watched. I was blown away by the skill and I still am. I then found out he had passed after watching this and saw the memorial video. For what it's worth after all this time, I'm sorry for your loss. I've also lost a friend about his age to cancer a similar time ago (February 2017) and I still think about him. I hope you and your family are doing well and keeping Jeremy's memory alive 🖤

Nice video clip, liked how the custom combo was used well and finished off with a super. Heh I do the exact same moves that Haohmaru uses for his custom combo in this video, when I play as Haohmaru. @Canscrubenha And if you gave it some extra thought, you'd realize that he is doing those modes in practice mode (hence why you see the stats, so you can see the damage output the combos do. Also, When doing practice mode you have to select a mode). Also, if you really were paying attention, you would see that he only uses enough bar or whatever that he would normally have outside of practice. Great job.

It's just hold back and press forward punch for the multi punch that Ryo does. Hold Down right, *Down left depending on how your side* and do quarter forward circle kick

The only reason why this is possible is because he is using the A-Groove. In A Groove and GC, if you press X or Y (can't remember) you will go into a "hyper" which makes your attacks a hell lot faster and you can do specials until your special meter runs out.

As you guard attacks, you'll notice that green bar start to shorten. If you block too much and that bar goes empty, you become stunned for a bit.... I think...

The only reason he is able to do these comboes is because he was using a CAP Groove (C, A or P Groove) If you press X in GC-ISM Mode it enables the user to enter speed mode in which your attacks are much faster and stronger. You can continue to fight with it as long as you don't get hit, it doesn't run out, and if you don't use a special while in speed mode.

The SNK grooves are, well, S-groove, N-groove and K-groove. And yeah it's easier to get to him using the opposite groove selection (a.k.a. c,a or p groove).

This game beats the hell out of the SNK-made ones. Also, I think it's crazy how capcom crossovers are almost universally more awesome than other fighting games. Marvel v Capcom, Capcom v SNK, Tatsunoko v Capcom, etc.

There were a few nice combo's in there (I like the one with eagle vs. Kyosuke, very innovative and nice that the very last hit of the super killed). There are many though where the damage for them can be quite a bit higher for some. Overall very nice though :)

There is no footage from the EO version. Every combo here is done with the Playstation 2 version which is CVS2, not CVS2EO.

Yes, however, there were multiple MP3s used, and I also have some unused versions. So you would just be downloading one big MP3 instead of the actual song (which I have) and the remixes used (both in the video and not in the video).. :)

I miss this game so much. Some of those A groove combos are just sick, the timing and precision is incredible, especially for those juggles. I'd kill to be able to pull those off. Does CvS2 still get played competitively anywhere in the world these days?

I bought that game yesterday. Ist's a great fighting game! The only thing I don't really like are the 3D backgrounds in higher resolution than the fighters, it looks weird. Optional 2D backgrounds would've been a nice touch!
