Damn, Kawano took a big L from Daigo, came back and won on winners side
@burkshomemadememes2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it was big L. It's not like daigo completely washed him. If we would look at all the Japan cpt, I would say kawano is currently the best player over there. He got 1st, 2nd and 4th in 3 cpt Japan events. The other time he drown in pools unfortunately. But getting top 4, 3 times in Japan cpt is insane
@lukewood26622 жыл бұрын
@@burkshomemadememes Kawano is surely a force, but didn't he lose 3-0(my bad if I'm wrong, it's been a while)? To me that's a wash. Even if he didn't mess up badly, he just got outplayed all the way. He ain't no trash because of that, but 3-0 is 3-0.

Akuma is dead in sf5 after the nerf that's why no pros wanna use him.. Tokido using urien and make it to the final is the right thing to do. In this industry if you don't win, no one's gonna sponsor you..

Tokido should've been more aggressive in the corner when he noticed Kawano was going for throw loops. EX Tackle, EX Knee Drop or something to that effect, even if it meant using a bar. Think that would've gotten him another round.

Tokido literally try to be aggressive in the corner at the end and fail miserably.

Y’all remember when tokido used to main kuma *pepperidge farm remembers..*
@russhl1252 жыл бұрын
7 frames is the startup of the first hit of ex tackle. But there are 2 hits, and urien travels to quite more frames to proceed to Hit the second time, therefore the whole active duration till he hits for a second time is much bigger. And in fact we've seen pro players reacting to it, esp in Japan, checking it and punishing it with light buttons. Most of the time Tokido uses it in range where this check is not possible, but the tackle is reactable from further range for reasons stated above. I wonder why a self-proclaimed fgc historian and a cpt expert does not know that.

While Tokido's Urien continues to improve, I do think he should've stayed with Akuma. He had Urien as a side character for years while maining Akuma. The last patch didn't destroy Akuma. From what I've seen he's still strong and can still get wins. It really seems like Tokido abandoned the character he once shed light on and prove to everyone was strong when others thought he wasn't.
@danielsmithiv12792 жыл бұрын
That's not entirely true. Tokido never played Akuma because Akuma was weak and people doubted him. Tokido played Akuma because Akuma is a beast and is S Tier. The reality is: Tokido likes using powerful characters to win and be consistent at winning. He makes a living out of fighting games, so, there is a business aspect that he has to adhere to remain successful.
@1DAR262 жыл бұрын
@@danielsmithiv1279 There's an old interview where Infiltration was giving his thoughts on SFV at the time (This was when Akuma was revealed and some of them were able to get early access if attended one of those events). In it he said two things. Nash won't be winning any tournaments after the nerfs he received and Akuma was weak. He said what many people were saying. Tokido would then give an interview saying he wanted to show everyone that Akuma was not weak as some was claiming to be from making early speculations. That year, 2016, Tokido would go on to win EVO with Akuma and Bonchan won a stacked tournament with Nash. Both proving Infiltration and many others wrong.
@1DAR262 жыл бұрын
@@danielsmithiv1279 also, I get that this is a career he's making a living out of, but Akuma could still get the job done. He could still play Akuma like he use to, just not exactly like how he use to because of some nerfs.
