Can you set your timeline to 1080p and use a 4k clip on that timeline to punch in and out of? I can’t get it to work like I would in premiere pro.

hi. please advice what to do with my problem in capcut desktop. i click the timeline and position the playhead to where i want to cut the clip. naturally i move the mouse without clicking. but when i do the cut, it cuts the clip where the mouse is resting, not where the playhead is positioned. this is what frustrates me because it makes the editing process complicated. thanks.
