|CAPE COD CANAL BEST FISHING SPOTS| "SCUSSET SPILLWAY" SECRET LOCAL SPOT| NOT ON FISHING MAPS|

This spot produces constant bite for striped bass even if its slow. The stripers usually show up to feed when the spillway is emptying out into the Cape Cod Canal. You will not find this place on the fishing maps. But this spot is just one I have seen fish landed mid day when all other spots slow. It also isnt as steep of a bank so good for your ankles and can be fished from the grates. Just dont drop anything you will lose it through the grates.

and now you've got a bunch of people from out of town who poach and leave trash. keep local spots local. if you decide someone is worthy of sharing a spot, share it with them. don't put it online for everyone to see becuase it will get in front of the wrong people. next thing you know there will be trash, broken bottles, line and mono in the water, and poaching.

Lol you expose the local secret, they might piss off at you. By the way, when you put the lobster trap, how do you avoid losing your catch? Do you have to stay and watch them? And how many can you keep per a day?

I usually leave my lobster traps in for a 5 days to a week. But at least one night. The lobster feed at night more it seems. 15 lobster per day.

The nice thing is that it keeps me going to the ditch consistently over the summer. So when the Monster Stripers are blitzing I will be down there. At least thats the hope. lol

Its crazy right i was thinking about sharing fishing spots when i post fishing videos but I realized if i do the can be many unwanted guest showing up not really unwanted but it can get crowded because of sharing the location online i would only share it by word of mouth never will i do it online but I really appreciate this guy lol

I like around that area because it can be easier to fish. An it can be level in the rocks at least more than most spots in the Ditch

@@ditchfisheradventures7582 my favorite spot and jve done very well here. There seems to be a shallow shelf out infront of 90 that suddenly drops. I do well jigging there. On nights nothing is biting I can usually pull a few schoolies out that hole. Just did it now

Nice that should be good timing for the fall run of Striped Bass. On the Cape side East end in Sandwich I like fishing a place called the Fish Plant first. For directions look up the Army Corp of Engineers Cape Cod Canal Visitors Center you can park feet from the canal. From there I would work my way towards the jetty and you crossover the Sandcatcher Recreational area hole. This hole is located half way to the Jetty from the visitor center. If I hadnt hooked into something by then I would try to catch one in the Sandwich Rip rap off the Jetty. The other spot to check out if you are hungry is the Fisherman's View Market and Restaurant and then fish the Sandwich Recreational area hole it can be very productive. Its on the west side of the Sandwich Marina. The restaurant has good food also and some good music on some nights. It can be nice spot for family to fish even if your not catching. These spots are actually in most of my videos that are posted but videos are being taken on the Main land side of the Ditch.

@@ditchfisheradventures7582 Thanks for sharing, what are other good spots for big stripers at the canal? Those schoolies under the bridge drive me crazy, when they are feeding. You can hear them splash but it’s hard to cast under the bridge.
