Cape Town CBD 2023. The BAD & GOOD SIDE. IS IT SAFE?

I was just in Cape Town three months ago. The place is spectacular in terms of climate, ecology, infrastructure. The poor people are abundant but not threatening, and way safer than our US cities. I am black, and I could live there. We have more drug addicts in US, believe me, plus these people have a good reason to be on drugs when you look at the profound poverty and very high unemployment numbers.

The ANC provides liberty away from the real true communist government that officiate the national nation ! A Revista for the people who are the Republic! Besides that The ANC doesn't have to be responsible for any other article of the constitution

I also don't remember blacks having rights pre 1994. The ANC gave the all citizens freedom. That's infinitely more than the satanic apartheid government ever did for its citizens

Loads of people blame the ANC for South Africa's current state. Yeah I definitely agree that they weren't ready to govern South Africa BUT they fulfilled their primary mission: to liberate South Africa. Those white people saying that SA was better under the National Party forgot that around 90% of the population had no rights. The white-led government governed for less than 10% of its citizens and only achieved what it achieved through slave or cheap labour. The ANC is governing for 100% of its citizens and it it still needs to deal with whiny Europeans who do nothing but complain (many of whom are also illegal immigrants that are evading tax and contributing nothing to the economy), I guess they do not have the capacity to work and build, because we all know who built this country 😉 The country does need a new, youth-led government that will lead the change.

I am quite happy with what I see here. Mr Khumalo please film the centre of JHB you and your camera will not make it out 😂. This is spotless by comparison. JHB if full of homeless people, trash everywhere, parks full of druggies, not one solitary guy by himself, here they pass out with the needles still in their arms. Both are bad howeverJHB is a million times worse, makes this look great.

First time in Capetown last December. It is very beautiful, but I have never seen so many homeless people in my life. Even by African standards, it's an extremely high number, they are everywhere. Before going there, I watched almost all videos on KZbin about the place, and you are the first one to post this side, almost everyone else either edited homeless people out.

also lots of these homeless people has mental issues aswell . tons of people go about their day so for the most part they arent a threat . just wish they could be housed somewhere , but most choose to be there to try and make a quick buck in the day time too .

It’s not just skid Row lol all over Los Angeles is much much worse then that, Los Angeles, wish it was this good, it’s tent cities everywhere people are on drugs and getting money from the government to stay on drugs, and I’m not going to mention San Francisco where people are shitting all over the sidewalks and it’s drug needles covering the ground

Cape Town still looks good....Go and have a look at a multitude of American cities and other cities across the world. Just about all big cities have a drug and homelessness problem...slums and people living in tents on pavements.But do yourself a real favour and have a look at the slums in Bangladesh and the Philippines...it is as bad as S.A. and in some cases it is worse..
