There are many reasons why Cape Town is the most congested city in South Africa besides there just being “too many cars on the roads.
The Transport and Urban Development Strategy’s Congestion Management Program found that the morning peak-hour period on Cape Town’s major arterial routes increased from 2 hours (07:00-
09:00) in 2015 to a 4-hour period (06:00-10:00) in 2023.
Cape Town Weather:
From around April to August it cools down and there's rain. During these months it can be beautiful and dry one moment, but blustery and wet the next. Rainfall peaks around June and July but the Cape's weather is notoriously changeable.
